Routine Skill Levels
Choose the level that best matches the dancer's experience. These guidelines match what you see on the registration form.
Novice
Introductory level dancers with 0-2 years of competition experience who are building foundational technique.
Skills allowed

- Grand jete
- Kicks
Skills not allowed
- Double pirouette
- Fouettés
- A la seconde turns
- Switch leaps
Beginning
Dancers who may have competed before and are gaining confidence with basic technique. Execution does not need to be perfect—just attempted.

- Single pirouette
- Chaine turns
- Grand jete and toe touch
- Kicks
- Up to 2 tumbling skills
Skills not allowed
- Double pirouette
- Fouettés
- A la seconde turns
- Switch leaps
Intermediate
Dancers practicing intermediate technique and ready to push difficulty while refining control.

- Double pirouette
- Side leaps
- A la seconde turns
- Up to 3 tumbling skills
Skills not allowed
- Triple pirouette
- Fouettés
- Switch leaps
- More than 3 consecutive rotations in a turn combo
Advanced
Dancers striving for high-level technique and performance quality. Ideal for experienced competitors.

- Triple pirouette
- A la seconde turns and fouettés
- Turns with changing spot
- Any switch leap or advanced jumps (up to 4 tumbling skills)
